"R&P" was composed by Igmar Thomas, marking the first official song released by Igmar Thomas’ Revive Big Band. It is favored and recognized as one of RBB's most popular and influential songs to date, often requested by many big bands and orchestras due to its contemporary style, arranging approach, and the fulfillment it brings to students.
 
This composition, titled "R&P," is influenced by Hip-Hop, Trap, and Jazz styles. "R&P" is a fun song for all, acting as a gateway or bridge to connect audiences with live big bands and modern instrumental styles in an accessible way. Originally developed for Dartmouth University to accommodate student abilities and emphasize “Rhythm And Phrase,” it quickly became a favorite within Revive Big Band's own members and fans. Its success led to a commission from Carnegie Hall, evolving into the next opus, "RPM's," which explores essential elements of Black American Music and cultural expression by transforming rhythms into meaningful phrases and melodies, contrasting with continuous lines and showcasing rhythmic harmony reminiscent of hip-hop's rhythmic symphony.
